22 Jump Street Casting Calls

"22 Jump Street" will hit theaters on June 13, 2014.
AB Media Publishing, LLC

Update 9-16-2013: Extras casting details are now available below.

Original Film and Lord/Miller Productions are set to begin production on the Columbia Pictures action comedy feature film "22 Jump Street", and the casting directors in Los Angeles and New Orleans have been holding auditions for lead, co-starring and supporting roles as college students. Extras are now being registered and will be cast throughout filming, with a very large amount of college age people needed. Film crew members are also being hired. Shooting is taking place in New Orleans, Louisiana. The movie is a sequel to the hit 2012 film "21 Jump Street". Shooting will get underway in October, 2013 and will continue through December, 2013.  Additional filming will take place in Puerto Rico. The release date is scheduled for June 13, 2014.

"22 Jump Street" leads off where the first film ended. Officers Schmidt and Jenko go deep undercover at a local college. But when Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art major scene, they begin to question their partnership. In addition to cracking the case, the two freshmen must figure out if they can have a mature relationship like real men.

Starring in "22 Jump Street" is Academy Award nominee Jonah Hill reprising the role of  Morton Schmidt. Hill has starred in a long string of hit movies including "Superbad," "Get Him to the Greek," "Moneyball," and "The Sitter". He recently wrapped shooting on Leonardo DiCaprio's "The Wolf of Wall Street", and "True Story" starring James Franco. Also returning is Channing Tatum playing Greg Jenko. Tatum recently portrayed Olympic Wrestling Champion Mark Schultz in the film "Foxcatcher". He is currently filming the Warner Bros. Pictures feature film "Jupiter Ascending" starring alongside Mila Kunis and Sean Bean. Image Awards winner Ice Cube returns in the role of Captain Dickson.

Filmmakers Phil Lord and Chris Miller return in the directors chairs for this sequel. The two, who are both former animators, recently directed the animated feature film "The Lego Movie". Producing "22 Jump Street" is Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. Primetime Emmy Award nominee and Original Film principal Neal H. Moritz will also produce. Original Film production executive Tania Landau will executive produce along with Producers Guild of America PGA Award nominee Reid Carolin. Columbia Pictures will handle domestic distribution. Sony Pictures Releasing will distribute internationally.

Casting calls underway for live-action animated feature film 'SpongeBob SquarePants 2'

SpongeBob SquarePants 2

"SpongeBob SquarePants 2" is shooting in Savannah, GA.
AB Media Publishing, LLC

The little yellow fella that nearly everyone in America and beyond seems to love is back! Nickelodeon Movies and Paramount Animation are in pre-production on the live-action/animated feature film "SpongeBob SquarePants 2". The casting director has sent out casting calls for principal actor roles in Los Angeles, New York, as well as in Savannah, Georgia. Locations include sound stages in Savannah, locations in the downtown area, and on Tybee Island. Day player speaking roles and extras casting is now underway for talent in Savannah, GA.

The movie is a combination live action and animation film based on the Nickelodeon television series SpongeBob SquarePants. The film centers on SpongeBob - an optimistic, cheerful, enthusiastic yellow sea sponge who works as a fry cook in the fictional underwater town of Bikini Bottom. Other characters include Patrick, a pink dimwitted starfish; Sandy Cheeks - an intelligent, scientific, bipedal anthropomorphic squirrel; the ill-tempered, cynical, and grouchy Squidward Tentacles; and Mr. Krabs, the founder and greedy owner of the Krusty Krab restaurant. The main voice cast of the 2004 SpongeBob SquarePants film, Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Rodger Bumpass, Clancy Brown, and Carolyn Lawrence, are set to return.

There will be two separate directors for "SpongeBob SquarePants 2". Multiple film festival award winner Mike Mitchell will direct the live action scenes. Mitchell is a former animator who has directed several hit feature films including "Shrek Forever After," "Surviving Christmas," "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked". He is set to direct the upcoming films "Monster Squad" and "Once Upon a Time". Seven-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee Paul Tibbitt is on board to direct the animated scenes. Tibbitt is currently the supervising producer and co-executive producer of the Nickelodeon television series "SpongeBob SquarePants". The two directors will helm the project from an original screenplay written by Primetime Emmy Award winner Jonathan Aibel.

Mary Parent, founder and President of Disruption Entertainment, will produce "SpongeBob SquarePants 2". Parent was formerly the Chairperson of Metro Goldwyn Mayer's Worldwide Motion Picture Group, and former President of Production for Universal Studios. She recently produced the major feature films "Pacific Rim," "Noah," and "Godzilla". Cale Boyter is also producing for Disruption Entertainment, and Craig Sost returns to produce his second SpongeBob movie. SpongeBob SquarePants creator Stephen Hillenburg will executive produce. "SpongeBob SquarePants 2" is scheduled to hit theaters on February 13, 2015.
