Exclusive Media and The Playtone Company in association with Walleye Productions are in getting ready to begin shooting the true-story feature film "Parkland" with an all-star cast, and produced by Tom Hanks. The movie's casting directors in Los Angeles and Austin, TX are auditioning actors for starring, co-starring, and supporting roles. The stand-ins, photo doubles, and extras are all being cast in Austin where filming will take place from January 12, 2013 through February 13, 2013.

"Parkland" tells the story of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the aftermath, as experienced by the doctors of Dallas' Parkland Hospital, where the President was brought, as well as the stunned Secret Service agents, FBI agents, local authorities, and in particular the innocent Abraham Zapruder and Robert Oswald, whose own lives were changed forever by that November day in 1963. The film is based on attorney and author Vincent Bugliosi’s award winning book "Reclaiming History: The Assassination Of President John F Kennedy".

Starring in "Parkland is eight-time Teen Choice Award winner Zack Efron playing the role of Dr. Charles "Jim" Carrico, a resident in general surgery at the time of JFK's assassination who was one of the first to take a look at the President. Also cast in the film is Academy Award winner Billy Bob Thornton, Academy Award winner Marcia Gay Harden, Academy Award nominee Paul Giamatti, and Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver.

Peter Landesman, former investigative journalist for New York Times Magazine, is making his directorial debut from an adapted screenplay that he wrote himself. Landesman wrote the story and executive produced the feature film "Trade," based on one of his articles in New York Times Magazine. Other works have appeared in the Atlantic Monthly, and The New Yorker. Landesman has the following screenplays lined up - "The Mission" for Di Bonaventura Pictures, "The Galton Case" for Warner Bros. Pictures, "Letter of Last Resort," for "Paramount Pictures," and "Kill the Messenger" for Universal Pictures.

Producing is two-time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks under the banner of his production company Playtone Productions. Four-time Primetime Emmy Award winner Gary Goetzman will co-produce with Hanks for Playtone. Exclusive Media Group CEO Nigel Sinclair, SVP of Production Matt Jackson, and Co-Chairman Guy East will Executive Produce. Exclusive Media will handle the worldwide distribution rights to the movie.
