Independent film 'Windsor' casting calls for actors, extras, and crew members

casting calls for actors

Windsor Operating LLC and Turnpike Pictures will begin shooting the indie feature film Windsor on July 28, 2014 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Casting directors in Los Angeles and Dallas are accepting photos and resumes from actors to be considered for various speaking roles. People interested in working as fully paid extras and stand-ins can submit to the extras casting directors in Texas. In addition, experienced film crew members can email their info for consideration. Shooting will run through August 23, 2014. All actors, extras and crew members must be legally eligible to work in Texas and in the United States.

Windsor centers on six best friends, who in their last year of high school, prepare to leave their small, struggling hometown of Windsor, a place caught in the slow, fine-grinding wheels of American big business that seem to have no side doors for small town America. One of the six, Maisie, whose father is about to be released from prison, decides she can't leave the town where she has been embraced so lovingly since the dark day that her father nearly killed the man whose company foreclosed on their family farm. The town's patriarch, Gil Denton, a no nonsense, wealthy landowner dying from cancer, loves these six kids, and in his remaining time with them he serves as a sounding board, dependable guide, and sympathetic friend - while providing them a wistful link to a past they will never know.

Starring in Windsor is three-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee Barry Corbin playing the town patriarch Gil Denton, Screen Actors Guild Awards nominee Stelio Savante plays the role of Perry Gandy, Joe Stevens plays Kline Coley, Mark Adam Goff plays Hank Kinsey, and Peyton Clark plays Itchy. Porter Farrell will direct from his own original screenplay. Producers are Porter Farrell, John J Kelly, Allison Graham, and Adam Dietrich.

'Taken 3' casting calls for actors and extras in Los Angeles and Atlanta

Taken 3 casting calls

Production is now underway on the action thriller feature film Taken 2, and casting calls are now taking place for both principal actors and extras.

Major Europe and French production company Europacorp Films has begun production on the third installment of the Taken film franchise. Shooting will start in Los Angeles, and will move to Atlanta in late April. The two-time Primetime Emmy Award winning casting director in Los Angeles has sent out casting calls and is holding auditions for actors to fill co-starring and supporting roles. The extras will be cast in Atlanta beginning on April 24th, and registration is now taking place. Experienced film crew members in Atlanta can email resumes to the production company. Additional filming will take place in Paris and Spain. Shooting will run through July 9, 2014.

Starring in Taken 3 is Academy Award nominee Liam Neeson reprising his role as former CIA operative Bryan Mills. The Taken films have changed Neeson's image, and he is now a bonafide action film star. He recently starred opposite Amanda Seyfried and Charlize Theron in Universal Pictures' A Million Ways to Die in the West. Other recent films include A Walk Among the Tombstones and the Warner Bros. film Run All Night. Screen Actors Guild Awards winner Maggie Grace also returns as Neeson's daughter Kim, and Famke Janssen plays his ex-wife Lenore. Three-time Teen Choice Awards nominee Jon Gries will again play the role of Casey, while Leland Orser is back playing Neeson's best friend Sam. I have also confirmed that Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker has signed on to return as Inspector Dotzler. Casting calls did indeed go out to all talent agents in Los Angeles for the role of Neeson's daughter Kim, and for Inspector Dotzler, however Maggie Grace and Forest Whitaker successfully negotiated contracts shorty after to return in those roles.

European Film Awards nominee Olivier Megaton returns to direct Taken 3 from an original screenplay written by BAFTA Film Awards nominee Luc Besson and Hugo Awards nominee Robert Mark Kamen. Megaton directed Taken 2, which was made for $45 million and raked in over $140 million at the box office. Luc Besson is producing Taken 3 along with EuropaCorp Films CEO Christophe Lambert. Taken 3 will hit theaters on January 9, 2015.

Adults and children casting call for 'Boychoir' starring Dustin Hoffman and Kathy Bates

The futuristic action sci-fi film Boychoir is nearing the start of filming, and casting calls for extras and crew calls for experienced production staff and film crew members are underway.

Informant Media and Carol Baum Productions in association with Goldenring Productions and Embankment Film will begin shooting Boychoir on February 24th in the Stamford and Greenwich, CT areas. Connecticut production will run through March 28th, then will move to New York. The film stars Academy Award winners Dustin Hoffman, Kathy Bates, and Sissy Spacek.

Boychoir tells the story of 10 year old small town hellion Stet Cates, who seems bound for a life of trouble and delinquency - except for the fact that he has an angelic singing voice that comes along once in a generation. When Stet's single mother Debbie is killed in a car wreck, his biological father Gerard, whom he has never met, is ready to relegate him to the foster care system without a thought - until Stet's middle school principal Ms. Steele urges Gerard to place Stet in Mr. Carvelle's boys' choir, (fashioned after the actual American Boychoir School) - the top in the country. But whether the renegade Stet can conform to Carvelle, Drake’s And The Headmaster’s rigid discipline and do honor to his innate talent is a very open question, especially when Devon, the top singer in the choir, decides to sabotage his rival in any way he can... Wooly is the one ally at the school who knows the real reason Stet should stay at the school – it's not about the music, it's about becoming a little man, who can face any challenge or foe.

Grammy Award winner Francois Girard is directing Boychoir from an original screenplay written by Ben Ripley. Primetime Emmy Award winner Judy Cairo will produce for Informant Media, Carol Baum will produce for her company Carol Baum Productions, and Jane Goldenring produces for Goldenring productions. Executive producers are Informant Media's Michael A. Simpson and Eric Brenner, Darrel Casalino, and Jarod Becker.
