Independent film 'Windsor' casting calls for actors, extras, and crew members

casting calls for actors

Windsor Operating LLC and Turnpike Pictures will begin shooting the indie feature film Windsor on July 28, 2014 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Casting directors in Los Angeles and Dallas are accepting photos and resumes from actors to be considered for various speaking roles. People interested in working as fully paid extras and stand-ins can submit to the extras casting directors in Texas. In addition, experienced film crew members can email their info for consideration. Shooting will run through August 23, 2014. All actors, extras and crew members must be legally eligible to work in Texas and in the United States.

Windsor centers on six best friends, who in their last year of high school, prepare to leave their small, struggling hometown of Windsor, a place caught in the slow, fine-grinding wheels of American big business that seem to have no side doors for small town America. One of the six, Maisie, whose father is about to be released from prison, decides she can't leave the town where she has been embraced so lovingly since the dark day that her father nearly killed the man whose company foreclosed on their family farm. The town's patriarch, Gil Denton, a no nonsense, wealthy landowner dying from cancer, loves these six kids, and in his remaining time with them he serves as a sounding board, dependable guide, and sympathetic friend - while providing them a wistful link to a past they will never know.

Starring in Windsor is three-time Primetime Emmy Award nominee Barry Corbin playing the town patriarch Gil Denton, Screen Actors Guild Awards nominee Stelio Savante plays the role of Perry Gandy, Joe Stevens plays Kline Coley, Mark Adam Goff plays Hank Kinsey, and Peyton Clark plays Itchy. Porter Farrell will direct from his own original screenplay. Producers are Porter Farrell, John J Kelly, Allison Graham, and Adam Dietrich.
