Casting call for feature film 'Franny' seeking identical twin boys to star in scenes with Richard Gere

Philadelphia Casting Call

"Franny" will film in Philadelphia beginning October 14, 2013.
AB Media Publishing, LLC

Treehouse Pictures and Tiderock Media in association with Magnolia Entertainment and Soaring Flight Productions are in pre-production on the comedy feature film "Franny". The Primetime Emmy Award nominated local Philadelphia casting director is setting up auditions for principal actor speaking roles. Shooting will take place in and around the city of Philadelphia beginning October 14, 2013 and will continue through the end of November. The extras casting will be taking place when filming begins and throughout production. Film crew positions are also being filled, submission details below.

"Franny" centers on a hedonistic philanthropist who ingratiates himself into the lives of a newlywed couple in order to re-create the life he once had. Golden Globe Award winner Richard Gere is playing the lead role of philanthropist Francis "Franny". Gere returns once again to his birthplace of Philadelphia. Since Gere's Golden Globe Award nominated performance in the feature film "Arbitrage", he did voice-over work on the New York Yankees produced animated film "Henry & Me". He also did a segment in the film "Movie 43". Upon completion of "Franny" Gere will star in the adult love story film "This Man, This Woman".

Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize nominee Andrew Renzi will direct "Franny" from an original screenplay that he wrote himself. Renzi developed the project through the Sundance Screenwriters Lab, a five-day writer's workshop that gives independent screenwriters the opportunity to work intensively on their feature film scripts with industry leading writers that serve as creative advisers. Renzi's most recent project was the short film "Karaoke!" which earned him his Sundance nomination, and also won an award at the Ashland Independent Film Festival.

TideRock Media partners Thomas B. Fore and Jason Michael Berman will produce "Franny" along with Independent Spirit Awards nominee Kevin Turen of Treehouse Pictures. Jay Schuminsky of Big Shoes Media will also produce. Magnolia Entertainment President and CEO Shelley Browning will also executive produce. Browning is also a talent & literary manager whose clients include Rachel McAdams, Rosamund Pike, and Brittany Snow. Also executive producing is Justin Nappi of Treehouse Pictures, Ruth Mutch of Soaring Flight Productions, Mike Diamond of Gateway Films, and John Friedberg of QED International.
